Today is one of those days we've been picturing for months. The day we finally get to say: it's done.
We're Amaillo Toys — a small toy brand born in Getxo, in the Basque Country of northern Spain — and we've been building toward this moment with one idea at the heart of everything: that children deserve toys that are beautiful, well-made, and genuinely thoughtful. And that families deserve screen-free alternatives that are just as easy to reach for as a phone.
Who we are (and why we started this)
We're a team of two — a husband and wife who are passionate about thoughtful design.
Amaillo Toys was founded in 2026 with a clear mission: to create screen-free toys that are beautiful, useful, and built to last — not generic, not disposable, not easily forgotten. Toys designed for the real moments of family life: dinner out, a long journey, a rainy afternoon, quiet time at home.
Our first collection: Little Color Worlds
Little Color Worlds is our debut product line, and we couldn't be prouder to share it with you today.
The idea is simple: creative activities built around colour, imagination and hands-on play — designed to be portable, mess-free and easy to bring anywhere.
Reusable silicone coloring mat
Our hero product. A 20 x 30 cm silicone mat with bold lines and gorgeous character designs, packaged with 6 dry-erase markers. Wipe it clean with a cloth, roll it up and it fits in any bag. No paper, no mess, no fuss. Current designs include Forest Friends, Beach Buddies and Playground Pals — with Ocean Explorers, Hola España and Kaixo Basque coming soon.
For kids, for parents — and for the moments that matter
Little Color Worlds was designed for the moments when you need something that actually works. Something that pulls your child away from boredom without you having to pull out your phone. Something that won't ruin the restaurant tablecloth. Something that fits in a carry-on.
For children, it's pure fun: new themes, new colours, new worlds to discover.
For parents, it's a screen-free alternative you can actually keep in your bag.
